My WI for week 9 was on Monday and it was a good one. I lost 2.25lbs which takes me down to 12stone 1.25lbs. Best of all I have now lost over a stone!
The next goal is to break the 12 stone barrier which I hope to do next week. After that I am shooting for my 10% which is 11stone 12lb, that weight is also where I go down the next BMI point which is significiant as it will make me overweight rather than obese. That will be the first time being overweight is a cause for celebration!
On Monday I wore one on the size 22 tops I bought in the spring. They were always on the big side (comforting to hide in on my fattest days) but now they absolutely swamp me so I have decided to give them to the charity shop. I never loved them anyway, they are the biggest clothes I have ever owned so I am glad to see the back of them. Today I am wearing a size 18 top I dug out of the wardrobe and that is so much better. I will keep one of my fattest outfits though for posterity as recommended by Chris on the 5+ board so I will be able to see how far I have come.
Yesterday I wore one of my endless pairs of black trousers to work which had been much too tight so had gone unworn for several months. It does not have an elasticated waist so I just thought that was the reason for the tightness and that I was actually a big bigger than the size 18 I have been wearing. The trousers were comfy all day which I expected but when I took them off in the evening I glanced at the label and realised that they were a size 16!
Now I knew one of my size 18 pairs of jeans were way too big (as mentioned in a previous post) but I did not realise I had dropped an entire trouser size. I have decided to go clothes shopping for a few bits just before my holiday in 6 weeks time. I don't want to buy too much as hopefully I will not fit in them for very long, but I want to look half decent on holiday. We are going on a river cruise down the Rhine so it will be a jeans and trainers holiday I think which is fine - I am nowhere near ready to brave a swimming cossie!

Hi your right we do have nearly the same stats and oh gosh I could be reading my own blog - especially the part about black trousers LOL.
