It feels like I have always been overweight, even as I child I felt podgier than my classmates. Loo
king back I don't think I was that podgy, but I felt it. At the age of about 17 I suddenly lost all my puppy fat without even trying and was slimmish for the first time ever. I was 8 stone when I was 18 - but even then I was not happy with my figure as I did not like my flabby tum! The hazards of being an 'apple'.At uni I walked less, drank and ate more and put on a stone in a year. 4 years later I got married and weighed just over 10 stone then. In the 11 years since I got married my weight has just gone up and up culminating in 13 stone 2lbs. I was never happy about it. Every time I went up a dress size or a bra size I hated my body more and liked shopping less, but I did not do anything about it until on 16th May 2009 I just decided enough was enough.
I'd seen the TV ads for Weightwatchers and decided to give it a go. A friend of mine had done amazingly well with WW several years back so I knew it worked. I just could not face the idea of going to meetings - the idea of getting weighed in public was just too mortifying! Having a look on the WW website I saw that you can now follow the programme online and knew that was for me. So on 18th May I signed up.
