1.75lb off this week. That makes 3 weeks in a row of suspiciously good losses - unheard of! Sometimes this weightwatching lark is like that, you get a month where you seem to get nowhere and then a month where it just falls off and it feels easy.
Mind you I earned that loss. I wanted desserts this week. I mean I WANTED them. On Thursday I wanted a chocolate eclair filled with fresh cream. I wanted to feel the cool whipped cream squidging out. But I was good (helped enormously by the fact that I would have had to actually go out and buy an eclair and chances are there would not have been any in the shop at the time of the evening I wanted it).
Friday we went out for dinner and after my pizza (pointed). I WANTED a sticky toffee pudding afterwards. That's my dad's fault. We went to that restaurant a few weeks ago with my dad and that was his dessert. I had one spoonful of his which I guessed at 2 points. It was squidgy and warm with the treacly sticky sauce oozing out and I really wanted it again, but I was good and didn't order it. The help I had that day to resist was my hubby who cannot have any dessert in that restaurant as he is a coeliac. I might have caved if he was eating dessert or worse still sharing it but it would have seemed too rude to sit there and eaten it while he watched with puppy dog eyes!
Then came yesterday, Valentine's day. Hubby did NOT buy me chocolate as instructed, but there was chocolate in the house and I really fancied some. But the end of the week was in sight then so I budgeted for 3 WW mini brownie bites (yummy btw and only 0.5 points each) to satisfy the craving.
So you see after all that virtue I deserved my 1.75lb loss! Now I'm in the 9s (just) so I have one point less per day to play with. But the end is in sight. Goal is just 13.75lb away.
