Didn't get up to moch this weekend. England thrashed Bangladesh in the test match so that is good. Fingers crossed that the footie boys do the same to the USA on Saturday!
I had such a good loss last week that I am not expecting to lose this week. Somehow it just feels too much to expect two weeks in a row. I had a SP yesterday and it looked as though I had put on 0.75lb but we'll see the official verdict tomorrow.
I went shopping this week and got some jeans, tops and a cute pink dress. It is such a novelty buying dresses. I think I might have been about 13 when I last wore dresses! I still need shoes, I want some with a small heel but most of the shoes I see are either flat or 4 inch heels. What is going on with that? Doesn't anyone else want something in between or are we all at the mercies of the dictates of the fashion powers-that-be?
The main issue with wearing dresses and skirts is my whiter than white legs. I just do not tan - never have, I either freckle or burn in the sun so mostly I avoid it or wear factor 50. I have tried fake tan a few times but even when I get it not to streak it wears off patchily. Also I have to do my whole body including hands, feet and face otherwise the difference is glaring and hands and feet are hard to do. I don't mind the pasty look most of the time, but when your legs are exposed it looks a bit crap. I have resigned myself to just looking pale and a bit crap. At least I'm slim!
I wore skirts and dresses when the weather was nice Thursday and Friday. It is so nice to feel cool. This time last year I was in trousers and resenting not being able to hide the flab in a jacket. Now I can strip off layers without feeling self-conscious.
I might try and get away from work early again this week and see if I can get to town again, this time for a more dedicated look at shoes. I also need to have a link taken out of my watch strap and possibly get my wedding ring resized as they are both a bit loose.
